Guide to being safe on Faucet sites

A lot of people use Faucet sites without giving a care in the world and claiming away.

That usually goes very well, until they get hacked or their hardware breaks.

This is a short guide on how to prevent all the above, and keep your information and hardware safely locked away from those scripts.

Start by doing a virus scan. Most people recommend Malwarebytes to start with.
This can clean up viruses potentially gained from a bad faucet site.

After you have done your scan it is time to prepare your browser for the hard work you are doing all this time.
These days a lot of faucet sites run the Coinhive script. This script runs on your computer and uses your hardware to mine Monero, which is usually exchanged for other coins. This wouldn't be so bad if website owners would tell you they run the miner. Most don't. To protect from rogue cryptominers you can take a very simple step.
Download this plugin for Google Chrome or Firefox

After installation you are protected from rogue miners.

If you prefer to use no extensions, Opera blocks miners by default.

Use a different username and password for every site.
By using the same username and password for every site hackers can cross reference the data and try to use your leaked information on other sites. If you use the same password everywhere they can get control of everything with that password.
Lastpass is a very good program that can keep your passwords and can generate new ones easily that are secure.

If you are scared you might have been hacked, try this site.
They will tell you after you have entered your email or username if your account is found on any site.

Make sure to never download anything from a site you don't trust.

Happy earnings!
